Dr Capp qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1979, winning several final year prizes. Following a year as a House Surgeon in Prosthodontics, he was accepted on to a Master’s Degree programme in Restorative Dentistry at the University of Michigan, graduating in 1983. Upon returning to the U.K., Dr Capp gained his fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 1984, winning the Dean’s Medal for attaining the highest marks of all candidates taking the examination. Subsequently he gained his Membership in Restorative Dentistry and was later awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons in London.

Dr Capp joined the practice in 1984 and since that time has combined private practice with part-time Post Graduate teaching. He has published many papers in refereed journals and co authored a text book with Dr Vincent Barrett which has been published in seven languages. He has lectured widely in the U.K. and abroad in the field of Restorative Dentistry.

He was selected by the General Dental Council to be the specialist practitioner on the Selection Committee for specialist accreditation in Prosthodontics and is a past President of the British Society for Restorative Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Societies of London and Europe.

Dr Capp’s main interests in practice include looking after his long term patients and their families, and carrying out advanced Restorative Dentistry, including the management of tooth wear, for which he takes referrals from professional colleagues. He is also pleased to see new patients introduced by his existing patients. He is recognised by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Prothodontics and Restorative Dentistry.
